What was once a storm water retention basis now offers views below to a natural looking lake surrounded with native grasses and a small island. Lawn and decomposed granite patios, an authentic stone ranch barbecue, native gardens and succulents offer a glimpse back to the days of a lush, but drought tolerant landscape.
In addition, DeLorenzo worked with the project biologist and pool design team for the 1 1/2 acre pond and wetlands area designed to filter storm water runoff for the master development project. A hillside of native gardens stair-step down to a 5,000 square foot lap pool and a 2,400 square foot children’s pool designed in the soft curvilinear forms of a country pond and emulating the newly formed lake below.
The creative site plan takes full advantage of the spectacular setting with all elements blending seamlessly with the surrounding wetlands and adjacent pond. An inviting hacienda-style clubhouse with a large outdoor entertainment patio overlooks the pools and spa to the spectacular wetlands beyond.
